- Work on your team members’ self-esteem. The motivation to participate towards your goals can be increased by boosting their confidence.
- Pay attention to their behaviour more than their personality. They’ll respond more productively if their attitude is discussed while you’re setting the objectives.
- Listen actively and show understanding. Don’t make any value judgments.
- The behaviour of team members that are rewarded tends to be repeated more actively. Pay attention to the attitudes you reward and the ones you don’t.
